The School Learning Center
We work with an American/Chinese school called New Day Learning Center (NDLC) teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) to Chinese students. We have students from all walks of life and their ages range from 16-68 years old, with the majority between 19 and 25, many lives have been touched and changed.

NDLC is growing fast. The goal is have over 100 students each semester, in the oral English program; during the 2010/2011 school year. An American style elementary first grade class was started last year and was a big success. This year there will be a second grade added.

We will continue to work with NDLC to bring the best educational and personal development for the students.

New Day started a program called, The Pearl Project. This project reaches out to the disadvantaged in the local community around us by providing food, clothing and some home repairs. The goal is spending time with people building relationships, influencing lives and bringing hope. We will continue to support and help develop this project. The project has been integrated into NDLC where students have the opportunity to work alongside English speaking people to help the needy in their country; exposing them to this work helps develop their oral English and personal character.

The students also get to help with the foster children as part of their oral English learning. A class is taught on social involvement. The students get to practice their oral English in a practical way by working alongside Chinese and American modeling team working principles. Another way to build relationships and personal character.
